The Luminous Path is a mentoring program in the way of the Self, the Healer, the Shaman and the Mystic. It is a way to chart the course of our own journey as we explore the true nature of our relationship to time, energy and our place on earth. Learn who you really are; acquire shamanic techniques for healing yourself, others and the earth; develop a working cosmology, archetypes and landscape for your life, and live your authentic self within the collective. Through teachings, Andean rites of passage and initiations, we access the luminous fibers of the universe that inform our bodies and our understanding of reality. Have you ever had the desire to make a drum in a sacred manner? Honoring the animal, tree, plants and the process? Now here is your chance to fulfill that dream and learn a skill that will serve you for a lifetime!
Native Americans believe that the drum is the heartbeat of the Earth Mother, the heartbeat of all First Nations, and a way of bringing things back into balance. Whether dancing, singing or listening, people around a drum are able to connect with the Spirit through its rhythmic pounding.
Making your drum will teach you about yourself; using your drum will connect you to all that is. Your finished drum will be a frame style drum, which you will have created as part of your own soul process.
Class size: minimum 6 and maximum 12 participants. Please no children under 12 years old.

In this intensive training in shamanic transformation, you deepen the shifts you began in the Luminous Path. In this course you

- Work with your personal unconscious as well as the collective unconscious

==> DESPACHOS
Wednesday through Sunday March 4-8, 2009, San Diego
Offering a solid foundation in Peruvian despachos, we explore the cosmology that governs the creation and process of coming into ayni with the spirits of Pachamama, Apus, and other archetypes. This workshop guides you through considerations of local and personal responses to coming into right relationship with the governing spirits.
The despacho is an essential element in all forms of healing, in the completion of the healing process. It becomes necessary within that process, just as you incorporate work with the mesa, Florida water, the use of a rattle and./or drum. The despacho is not optional for the committed shaman as it is an essential component of personal healing and the healing of the land.
The Despacho must come from the heart and to come from heart one has to understand it and know it and feel it. We offer you a way to respond beyond form, to enter within your own personal cosmology and commune with the forces of nature in a way that is uniquely personal to you and where you live. This is not a course that ends with form, but becomes the platform that guides you to what is relevant to you.

==> TRACKING AND DIVINATION
Wednesday through Sunday April 29 – May 3, 2009, Boston area
Shamans around the world believe that luminous threads combine energy into matter. In this Mastery level course, you will develop practical skills that allow the shaman to track unseen energies and release them. Using centuries old divination practices, we discoveri hidden knowledge through supernatural means.
We work deeply with perceptual states to awaken your shamanic seeing abilities, and master the four levels of shamanic perception. Not unlike the medical intuitive, you will learn the art of seeing inside a person’s body to explore dis-ease and disease.
With advanced techniques such as polarity and harmonization; deep exercises using the 5 “Ñawi”; energy clearing around encrusted hucha; and advanced work with the Bands of Power, you will learn how to
heal yourself and others. We will also explore deep Shadow work and how to integrate the shadow side of the shaman. In addition, we’ll track how to incorporate all of Nature’s energies such as storms, rainbows, lightning, hurricanes, clouds, rain.
We’ll discover the power of divination through Ecstatic Body Rituals, and such tools of divination as Third Eye activities to access information from all levels of the mind, the universal mind and the Spirit world. Some of the divination methods we’ll learn include: working with the Aura; Shell and crystal scrying; reading coca leaves; hearing and talking to the wind; shamanic circle drawings and using liquids for divining.

You may have read books by Elizabeth Jenkins, Joan Parisi Wilcox, Carol Cumes and others about the Andean teachings and initiations. Because Liana’s native language is Spanish, she has had the rare opportunity to work directly with paqos throughout the Andes, including Freddy "Puma" Quispe Singona before he became famous! It is the knowledge that has come from Liana’s studying with shamans such as Freddy “Puma,” Mallku, Juan Nuñez del Prado, Ruben Orellana and others that makes up the foundation for the Andean Mesas course.
Explore the ancient teachings of the Inka and experience first hand the world of 'living energies' that comprise the different mesas. During this workshop, you will be presented an overview of the various Andean Mesas. You will then work very deeply with six mesas, learning practical tools for freeing energy from the body and from physical locations. In addition, you will be trained in transforming energies that may lead to illness, depression and conflict to create health and well-being. This workshop is for those people who wish to understand the death process better - for themselves and for those who either from a personal or professional viewpoint wish to help others transitioning through death.
During this workshop, we explore the meaning of death in our own lives and develop an approach to death that is courageous, open, and dignified. Working with these three areas: Real Death; Shamanic Death and Shadow Work, we explore the doorway into timelessness and the cosmology of where we travel after death, we map a personal landscape of the afterlife, use dreamwork and journeywork to help the dying, and go beyond our personal death to enter the mysteries of death and rebirth.
